Ardent We
At Home
Simply put, we're spirits and cocktail freaks who tend to be on the road quite a lot. Research, you know. We have a few books and quite a lot of magazine articles to our names, and we take our subjects very seriously, but when we're not working we enjoy well-crafted cocktails and fine distilled spirits in the same manner as most other folk.
In 1995, after spending over twenty years in Manhattan we moved to the Hudson Valley, just over 50 miles north of the city, and we started to acquire animals. At present we have Sylvia the Silver Poodle, Judy the Toy Poodle (looks a lot like Garland), and Janet, a Siamese cat who is wondering what to make of Boo-Boo, the 3-legged Pomeranian who entered our lives in September, 2008.
Sad to say that we lost both Winnie the Poodle and Alice the pussycat in 2007. Winnie is presently wagging her tail for God, and Alice has probably found a nice warm Angel lap to curl up in. We are leaving their pictures on this page cos we just can't bear to take them down.

At Work
Gary writes a bi-weekly column for the San Francisco Chronicle, and together we try our darndest to send out an issue of our e-letter every couple of weeks. We don't always make it, but there you go . . .
Over the years our work has appeared in these fine publications:
Away from Home
We tend to get around a bit, if you know what we mean. In recent years one or both of us has been to France, the U.K., Scotland, France, Slovakia, The Czech Republic, England, Peru, Russia, Trinidad, Curacao, Jamaica, Ireland, and lots of states within the U.S.A. We have never visited Glen, New Hampshire, though. If you get our newsletter you'll be sure to hear about our travels.
Books by the Regans
We love to write, boy do we love to write. And we love it even more when people read what we write. It sort of makes us feel like we're sharing part of ourselves with them. It's the next best thing to actually stopping in at each of your houses, having a drink, and chatting for a few hours.
